SVB and Credit Suisse have brought to light the pressures on the banking system. Powell is stuck. He is driving the economy full speed towards a cliff hoping he can slam the brakes just in time. If I had to draw parallels with the GFC I'd say we are in early 2008 when Bear Stearns got taken over. Many people thought at the time that marked the trough of the crisis.
